Bio

My name is Tristan Scruton. I was born in 2011 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. I am currently in grade 7 at Nanoose Bay Elementary School. Next year I will attend Ballenas Secondary, where I am looking forward to joining the Ballenas Whalers high school football team. I have been playing football with the Oceanside Lions since I was 9 years old. I play running back, wide receiver, kick returner/punt returner and linebacker. I am fast and I love to run. I have had the honour of receiving 3 MVP awards and a best offensive player award. I work hard on and off the field. I am an A student. When I don't have football practice after school, I can be found in the back yard throwing a football with my friends or practicing route-running and other football drills. I study football all the time and soak up whatever information I can. I attend all the football camps I can. I support my teammates and am a leader on the field. I want football to be my career and follow in the footsteps of my papa who is a CFL All Star and played pro football for 15 years. I admire his determination and dedication. There is so much that I like about football that it is hard to put into words. I think what I like most is being a part of a great group of people, both players and coaches, who support and protect each other. There are so many people I have met through football who will be my friends and mentors for life.
